Naples to bari high speed train line uncovers incredible new archaeological discoveries
The construction of the new railway line connecting Naples to Bari with the high speed trains, have uncovered numerous archaeological finds. After the recent new discoveries of immense and great historical value were brought to light this week. One of great impact is that of a village dating back to the Copper Age in the locality of Gaudello, a paved stretch of the ancient Appian Way located in Maddaloni and a sanctuary from the Hellenistic-Roman era, rich in votive materials, found in Ponte. Also there have been other incredible discoveries a Roman villa in Solopaca and numerous burial objects that belong to the Campania culture. In addition various bronze and terracotta vases and instruments have been found during the excavations of the railway line, and for sure there will be more archaeological discoveries in the future as the completion of the railway line is predicated for 2028.
