Viterbo is part of Lazio is about 105Km from the city of Rome and dates back to the Etruscan civilization its had a strong Etruscan community . Also Viterbo is situated on a hill top and you can still see the medieval walls that surround Viterbo.

Historically Viterbo has humble origins never being a rich flourishing city but during the 13th Century it was recognized, this was because due to the many conflicts in Rome Viterbo was a refuge for the popes , and during this period fins some of the best architecture and art. Sites to visit in Viterbo are the thermal Springs just outside the walls of Viterbo are the natural sulphurus pools. So You can visit the city with its Papal Palace and Museum then onto the thermal baths for some true relaxation.
