The Cathedral of Saint Andrew of Amalfi in Italian the Duomo di San't Andrea. The Cathedral stands in the center of Amalfi and is a 9th Century Roman Catholic Church dedicated to the Towns patron saint. The Building was constructed with the architectural style of the Arab /Norman Romanesque. Story has it that the Remain of Saint Andrea where transported from Constantinople the Cardinal Peter di Capua and where lied to rest in the crypt of the Duomo. If visiting the Amalfi Coastal area and stopping in Amalfi the view walking up the stairs to reach the cathedral are beautiful and seeing the people sitting by the café drinking with this immense building as their view is suggestive.
