Blue Grotto Capri
The Blue Grotto in Italy la Grotta Azzura this sea cave is found on the Italian island of Capri which is located in the southern area of Italy not far from the Sorrento coast only 20 minutes boat ride and only about 1 hour from Naples. The Blue Grotto is famous for its reflection from the sea cavity that makes a magical blue and Emerald light , the light arrives from the small hole in the cave which is used as the entrance into the cave. Due to this effect of lights created by nature the Blue Grotto is one of the most visited places on the Coast. The actual Grotto was for sure used by the Emperor Tiberius this is also because we find the sculptures of Neptune that date to that period. In addition we know that Tiberius swapped The island of Ischia for Capri and in later years retired to the island of Capri. Now days you can take a boat to the blue grotto or enjoy a Tour via sea and stopping at the Grotto .
