The next stop will be the Circus Maximus, a very huge stadium for chariot races. You will definitely recognize this as the location of the movie "Ben Hur”, one of the most admired films about the Ancient Rome. Behind the stadium, you will see the Palatine Hill, where the Caesars used to live. The tour continues to the City Hall of Rome And then we will stop at the Piazza Venezia where you can admire the Victoriana Monument, whose funny nickname is "wedding cake" because of all the different styles the Monument was built with.
Pantheon will be next  to catch the “perfection” of ancient Roman architecture, following the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps.

We will have a break for lunch in a typical Italian Restaurant to enjoy a real Italian pizza or homemade pasta.

After lunch your professional tour guide will lead you through  the Vatican Museum for a - 2 hours GUIDED TOUR (including the Sistine Chapel, St Peter's Basilica and St Peter's Square), see the description down below.

After such an amazing day discovering the city,

it will be time to go back to the cruise ship for  5.00 pm maybe tired but happy !

COLOSSEUM AND ROMAN FORUM TOUR - this first tour will take about 1 hour 30  hours:

While stands the Coliseum, Rome shall stand

When the Coliseum, Rome falls shall fall;

In addition, when Rome falls – the World.

by Lord Byron The Coliseum, is the Emblem of  Rome , the most astounding feats of  Ancient architectural engineering, built by the Flavi dynasty about 2000 years ago. You will learn about the sophisticated underground system, and how it revolutionized public stadiums all over the Empire. About the gladiators’ life, combats, and the arena on which celebrated games took place for the entertainment of over 50,000 spectators at a time. We’ll leave for the Coliseum to reach the Forum and standing in front of Constantine Arch, it is so clear why the Roman triumphal arches were copied all over the world in modern times.

The Roman Forum was the political, religious and commercial center of Rome for centuries.  You will walk  through ancient cobble stoned streets  admiring the ruins of majestic temples and basilicas, where legal cases were heard, until you will still hear  Mark Antony ‘s words resounding: “Friends, Romans, countrymen, lend me your ears” like  in the play Julius Caesar, by William Shakespeare

Then we will be able to enjoy a great view of the Forum from the top of the hill number one: The Capitol, to finally stand in the Square designed by the Supreme Genius: Michelangelo.
